I would like to express my very special appreciation for the generosity shown by the people of the Archdiocese of Dublin on the occasion of the annual collection for the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul just before Christmas.

 

The final figures for the collection show an increase of 24% over last year, with a total of Euro 2,195,579.

Despite the many difficulties that families and individuals face, I am genuinely moved to see the depth of the sense of care and solidarity which this generosity shows.

The members of the Saint Vincent de Paul Society do great work and I would recommend their work and mission especially to young people.
