Next weekend, Pope Francis will beatify Archbishop Oscar Romero of San Salvador.
Archbishop Martin will celebrate the occasion at the Festival of Peoples Mass in St. Mary’s Pro Cathedral at 6.30 pm on Sunday 24th May. President Michael D. Higgins will attend. The Mass will also celebrate the thousands of people who have come to live in our city and county in recent years from all over the globe. There will be Irish and global music from massed choirs with many ethnic groups attending in traditional dress.
Everyone is welcome to attend this special occasion and if you have parishioners who have come to live here from abroad in recent years, please bring this celebration to their attention.
