Garda Vetting The Policy and Procedures, Garda Vetting Application Form, and a copy of the Guidelines for the applicant can be downloaded by clicking on each document. Once the application form has been downloaded please photocopy it back to back on to a single page. This will ensure that the second page does not get lost or misplaced during the process. Once the application has been filled in by the applicant it should be returned to their employer so that they can forward it on to the Garda Vetting Administrator in Clonliffe College. The Garda Vetting process can take up to 13 weeks.
Guidelines for Diocesan Parishes, Schools and Agencies in managing the process.
- Once the applicant has completed the form, please check it for omissions and return it to that Garda Vetting Administrator- HR Department, Diocesan Offices, Clonliffe College Dublin 3. - It is important that the section on the form “to be completed by employer/school/parish” is filled in before returning the form. - In the case of schools, the contact person must be the Chairperson of the Board of Management. Forms sent by individuals without the details of either the parish priest or a Chairperson of the board of management cannot be processed. - All fields must be completed or the form will be returned to the sender. The Garda are very precise in the way the form must be presented.
