Knock All Night Vigil will take place in Knock on December 7 the Eve of the Immaculate Conception at 12.00 midnight with Confession, finishing with concelebrated Mass at 4.00am.  The Auberge of Knock, Pilgrim accommodation operated by the Order of Malta, are now taking bookings – blessed by St John Paul in 1979 offers a variety of accommodation with facilities for all individual requirements.  To book contact Noel on 01 6430060 or 087 3387410.

 

Christmas Car Raffle

Ballybrack-Killiney Parish got their Christmas Car Raffle underway last weekend – the fabulous first prize only of a beautiful Red Opel Corsa 192 D Reg – (delivery mileage only) could be yours with all proceeds going to the repair of Ballybrack Village Church. The draw itself will take place after 12.00pm Mass on Christmas Day.  Tickets cost €50 each and are available from the back of the Church of the Apostles (near Tesco), the Church of St. Columbanus, Loughlinstown and the Church of St. Stephen, Killiney.

 

The Little Lifetime Foundation Christmas Tree Lighting Service takes place on Sunday 8th December at Glasnevin cemetery New Angels Plot at 4.00pm.

 

Multicultural Christmas Carol Concert

The Church of the Holy Family, Aughrim Street is hosting a Multicultural Christmas Carol concert on Sunday, December 8th  at 7.00pm.

Choirs include the Brazilian, Greek Catholic, Syro-Malibar, Spanish/Hispanic, Italian, African, Filipino and Polish Communities who will sing in their own language.

Admission is free.

 

Christmas Voices Concert 

In aid of Dogs Aid and Peter McVerry Trust, St. Mary’s Pro Cathedral  will host a Christmas Voice Concert  on the 17th December at 7.30pm.

Performing on the night; Rod Hurley, Linda Martin, Cliona Hagan, Anna Kearney, St. Mary’s Continuum Choir along with organist Ronan Murray and accordionist Yvonne Chilton.

Songs for a Winter Christmas Concert

Mary Flynn, Soprano, together with Mary O’Donnell, Harpist and friends have come together for the 10th  annual ‘Songs for a Winter’s Evening’ – a Christmas Celebration.

The concert will take place in St. Mochta’s Church, Porterstown, Dublin 15 on Sunday, 8th December at 7.30pm.  All proceeds will go towards the urgent restoration of St. Mochta’s Church.

Christmas Concert

Kick start your Christmas season with the Glasnevin Musical Society together with Corpus Christi Parish as they present festive & favorite melodies in Corpus Christi Church on Thursday 12th December at 8.00pm.

The evening will comprise of choral classics, wonderful festive tunes and carols from the chorus of the GMS along with renowned Irish Soprano, Virginia Kerr.

Tickets cost €10 per person or family ticket is €20 (2 adults/2 children) and can be purchased from Corpus Christi Parish Office (Mon to Fri, 09:30 – 11:30) phone 01 836 0085 or from Corpus Christi Parish Bookshop at weekend Masses.

 

Carole Service

Brackenstown Parish Carole Service takes place in St. Cronan’s Senior National School on the 12th at 7.30pm. Then on the 19 December Pre-Festive fun with music and goodies in the Pastoral Centre of Brackenstown takes place after 10.00am Mass.  Collection in aid of the MND Foundation.

 

New Year’s Eve – Adoration and Midnight Mass

Ring in the New Year with Jesus!  You are invited to the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, Benediction and the Holy Eucharist in, Mountview parish at 11.45pm on Tuesday, 31st December to receive more blessings for 2020 than you have ever imagined! It will also be the Celebration of Holy Mass for the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God. Everyone is invited!
