Clondalkin Parish Events
As September nears and the school/college year starts back, Clondalkin parish invite all parents & grandparents to make the month of September one of 30 days of prayer for our Children & Grand-children no matter what their age.
There is a short leaflet attached which gives a short suggested focus, reflection and scripture piece for each day. It can be downloaded from – http://www.clondalkinparish.com/?p=3571
“Forever in our Hearts” – Tuesday 10 September is World Suicide Prevention day
To mark this days there will be a special remembrance in the Rowlagh Church Grounds at 6:30pm at the garden of remembrance, this is a brief event for families, friends and communities affected by suicide. All are welcome.
In each of the Churches around the Clondalkin area you can take a heart and write the name of someone you would like remembered and either place it on the tree yourself at the event or a leave it in the basket provided and a member of the community will place in on the tree, on your behalf. If you cannot get a heart just send us the name of the loved one you would like remembered and we will place the name on the tree for you.
If you cannot attend either event in person we are inviting everyone to stop for 1 Minute in silence at 6:30pm on Tuesday 10th and join with us in a gesture of support and solidarity as a community who cares deeply – to remember those who have died through suicide and those who have been left behind.
