Coiste Tréadach

coiste-logoI mí Eanáir na bliana 2000 bhunaigh an Cairdinéal Deasún Ó Conaill An Coiste Tréadach chun moltaí a chur roimhe maidir le freastal tréadach ar phobal na Gaeilge san Ard-Deoise. Dúirt sé go raibh dualgas ann freastal tréadach ar ard-chaighdeán a dhéanamh ar phobal na Gaeilge san Ard-Deoise.

Bunaíodh Pobal an Aifrinn i 1973, eagraíocht do thuataí idir fhir agus mhná, le tacaíocht a thabhairt don liotúirge trí Ghaeilge ar fud na hArd-Deoise, tar éis an Dara Comhairle Vatacánach.

Tá geall le céad (100) sagart sásta a bheith ar róta leis an Aifreann a léamh trí Ghaeilge in ionaid ainmnithe ar fud na hArd-Deoise. Buaileann an Coiste le chéile uair in aghaidh na míosa seachas i mí Iúil agus i mí Lúnasa.

Tá liosta na bparóistí san Ard-Deoise ar fad ina bhfuil an tAifreann á léamh trí Ghaeilge agus amanna na nAifreann le fáil ar Idirlíon na Deoise: www.dublindiocese.ie.

In January 2000, Cardinal Desmond Connell established An Coiste Tréadach to advise on matters concerning pastoral ministry to Irish speakers in the Archdiocese. He said that there is an obligation to provide comprehensive pastoral care of a worthy standard, in Irish, for Irish speakers in the Archdiocese.

Pobal an Aifrinn, was established in 1973, and consists of lay men and women, who help in the provision of Mass in Irish in the Archdiocese, since the Second Vatican Council.

Approximately one hundred (100) priests are available on a rota basis for the celebration of Mass in Irish, at specified locations throughout the Archdiocese. Each priest on the Rota celebrates Mass trí Ghaeilge in turn in the specific locations.
A priest has been appointed to each of the five (5) pastoral areas to coordinate the preparation, celebration and administration of the sacraments in Irish for pastoral and liturgical purposes, through An Coiste Tréadach and the Archdiocesan Liturgical Resource Centre. An Coiste Tréadach meets once a month with the exception of July and August.

A schedule of parishes where Mass is celebrated through Irish, together with Mass times is available on the Diocesan website – www.dublindiocese.ie.
