Bawnogue

History

Constituted 1977 from Clondalkin. The church building was commissioned in May 1979. The foundation stone was blessed by His Holiness Pope John Paul II in Maynooth in 1979 and was laid in position in March 1980 by Archbishop Dermot Ryan. The Spiritan Order has been ministering in Bawnogue since 1988.
