History

Church’s foundation stone blessed by Cardinal Cullen on the 31st of May 1868. The architect of this church in Roundwood was J.J. McCarthy. The first church in Moneystown was built in 1911. This was replaced by the present church dedicated to the Sacred Heart by Archbishop McQuaid on the 8th of June 1969. Parish constituted in 1974.
