About the Role
The Dublin Archdiocese is seeking to appoint a Property Administrator on a temporary basis (maternity leave cover). This is a varied and rewarding role supporting the management of an extensive property portfolio that includes churches, residential properties, pastoral facilities and other buildings across 197 parishes.
Working as part of the Property Team, the successful candidate will provide administrative, property and facilities management support to parishes and diocesan offices
The role is ideally suited to an experienced administrator with a background in property, facilities management or a related environment, who possesses strong organisational, communication and relationship management skills.
What You Will Do
- Building Repair & Maintenance: Manage building repair and maintenance works across the diocesan property portfolio, liaising directly with contractors and service providers.
- Parish Property Support: Act as a point of contact for priests and parish representatives on property-related matters, coordinating and arranging essential repairs where required.
- Facilities Management Support: Support both diocesan offices and parishes with facilities management requirements.
- Financial Administration: Process payments to contractors and design team members and prepare financial reports to monitor property expenditure and performance.
- Committee & Governance Support: Support the work of the Dublin Diocesan Property Committee and Health & Safety Committee, including the preparation of agendas, papers and minutes.
- Project Coordination: Liaise with architects, engineers and other design team members as required, and support the administration of residential refurbishment and other property-related projects.
What You Will Bring
The successful candidate will be a highly organised individual with strong administrative, communication and relationship management skills. They will also bring:
- A relevant third-level qualification in Business, Finance, Property or a related discipline.
- A minimum of five years’ relevant professional experience, ideally including exposure to property or facilities management.
- Excellent IT skills, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship management skills.
- An understanding of, and empathy with, the pastoral mission of the Dublin Archdiocese.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a small team.
- A customer-focused approach, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify practical solutions.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
