An update on the development of a Strategic Funding Plan for the Archdiocese of Dublin
As we continue to undertake pastoral actions and initiatives guided by the Building Hope Pastoral Strategic Planning Resource 2025–2027, over the past year we have also been working on a Diocesan Strategic Funding Plan. This is a practical roadmap designed to support the journey of our parish partnerships. Following an initial consultation phase, during which we gathered valuable insights from the Council of Priests, clergy and laity, we are now ready to move forward with the next step: the rollout of a pilot programme over the course of 2026 and 2027.
This pilot will enable us to:
- Reflect on how funds are raised and monies are collected
- Gather feedback from participating parish partnerships
- Refine activity to ensure they are both effective and sustainable into the future
The programme will involve a select group of parish partnerships and will commence in the coming months. The learnings from this phase will be critical in shaping a comprehensive rollout plan that supports our shared mission and reflects the realities of our faith communities.
